Summer calls for going out of your comfort zone! Doing things you wouldn’t normally think of doing, having fun, and making memories you will never forget! As someone who could not be more bland than a regular slice of pizza, I am embracing this summer with the idea of trying new things, and that is starting with my nails! I always do the same things every year – light pink for my birthday, french in the summer, maroon in the fall, and red and white for the holidays. But this summer, I decided that I would change it up. I started off the summer with butter yellow nails, something the old Helene would cringe at. I ended up LOVING them! I then decided to try something that I would have never thought to do, and now hot pink is one of my favorite colors to do on my nails. I couldn’t tell you how many compliments I have received on my nails in the last month, and as my next set is coming up soon, I have sort of a reputation to uphold. I am choosing light blue as my next choice. I did it last year as an end of summer hoorah (plus it matched the theme of my friend’s sweet 16, and since I was apart of her court, my nails were the perfect addition!)
Nail colors that never miss during the summer are bright and vibrant ones – hot pink, tangy orange and mermaid green/blue. Also, french nails never miss a beat in the summer! They are classic, simple, and elegant!
