Reflection of Thanksgiving:

I still cannot believe that Thanksgiving is already over. To think that just a few months ago I was at the beach, drinking an iced cold drink, to now in a winter coat and gloves. I did not believe in something as “seasonal depression” until I woke up this morning and wanted an iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts. But that sadly is not the “vibe” anymore, we now have to resort to other means to fill our holiday season, including eggnog, apple cider (which some would disagree that is only a fall drink, but I have no real preference) and of course, hot chocolate with marshmallows.

My thanksgiving was calm, but enjoyable. This was the first year that my family was not running our town’s 5 mile Turkey Trot, and I actually felt some FOMO for not participating in it. To be completely honest, I really don’t know why we do it every year, but I really enjoy getting that medal at the end, so I think that is my push to keep going, For the first time in forever, we slept in and watched the floats go by on the tv, and had a relaxing day.

The night before I was at a GOYA (Greek Orthodox Youth of America) function with all my friends. Every year it is held at the same church, and the party is crazy. Everyone goes to this event. There were 650 kids that went, and it was so nice to see all my friends and catch up with everyone. The music was great, but the dancing was even better. I am looking forward to going to another GOYA event soon.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and bundle up!
